Theresa A. Shaver age 85, of East Herkimer, passed away on Tuesday morning, April 26, 2016, in Valley Health Services, Inc., Herkimer. She was born on August 29, 1930 in Cohoes, daughter of the late Joseph and Stella Fleury Beauchamp. Theresa was raised by her Uncle Edgar and Aunt Margaret Fleury. On July 9, 1950 she was united in marriage to Robert Edward Shaver in Saint Patricks RC Church, Cohoes. They shared a loving and devoted union of thirty-four years when on October 29, 1984 he preceded her in death. For many years Mrs. Shaver worked as an assembler for Mohawk Data Sciences in East Herkimer, retiring when the business permanently closed. Those who knew Theresa found her to be a friendly and caring lady who loved her home, her family and her cherished cat, Tiger. To her two sons she was always there for them to lean on, whether it be good times or bad. She will be sadly missed. Surviving are her two sons and their wives, Russell Shaver and Susan Dee of Clarksville, Robert F. and Carol Shaver of East Herkimer, her beloved grandson, Robert E. Shaver II and Katie of Mohawk, her God Son, Michael Murphy of Ilion, two sisters-in-law, Ruth Beauchamp of Cohoes, Joan Beauchamp of the town of Ohio, dear friends Barbara and Gerald Murphy of East Herkimer, several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband Robert she was preceded in death by two brothers, Alcide Ray Beauchamp and Armond Beauchamp. Calling hours for Mrs. Shaver will be on Thursday (today) from 4:00 until 7:00 pm in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc. 115 Court Street; Herkimer. Funeral service will be on Friday at 11:00 am in the funeral home with the Very Reverend Mark Cunningham, pastor of Saint Francis deSales Church officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Gardens, town of Little Falls. Theresas family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Valley Health Services, especially the second floor staff for the care and compassion shown to both Theresa and her family.
