Thomas A. Fenner Sr. age 57 of Folts Road passed away unexpectedly on Sunday April 24, 2005 in his home.
He was born on May 13, 1947 in Herkimer, son of the late Robert S. and Arvah Day Fenner. A lifelong Herkimer resident he was educated in Herkimer schools. In 1966 he enlisted in the US Army and was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri where he attained the rank of E-5. He was honorably discharged in February of 1969.
For a number of years Tom had worked as an auto mechanic with Gary Hunts Garage and later with Ed Views Paving in Mohawk, retiring in 1997.
To all who knew him they will always remember his good nature and friendly manner. He always had a story to tell that left you smiling. He was a loving and caring father, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by many, especially his family.
Surviving him are one son, Thomas A. Fenner Jr. and his wife April of Clearwater, FL, three brothers and their wives, Gerald Dick and Paula Fenner of New Berlin, Robert and Camille Fenner of Utica, William and Theresa Fenner of Coppers Cove, TX, one sister, Carol Ahrens of Fonda, three cherished grandchildren, Christopher Robert Fenner, Ryanne Leigh Fenner, Damion Graham Fenner all of Clearwater, FL, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, a sister Mary J. Sanchez preceded him in death.
A celebration of Toms life will be held on Friday evening at 8:00 pm in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer. The Reverend Wrightson Tongue, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church Herkimer-Little Falls will officiate. The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends one hour prior to the service 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
