HERKIMER-Tiffany Lynn Brown, age 48, of Laurel Avenue, passed away on Friday June 28, 2024, at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, after a long battle with cancer. Her loving husband Daniel was by her side at the time of her passing and now she is one of God's angels.
Tiffany was born on January 2, 1976 in Ilion a daughter toJosephine Alabastro Busch and James Busch. She was raised and educated in Herkimer, a graduate of Herkimer High School and earned her Bachelors in Science at SUNY. Tiffany dedicated her entire career to helping others. She was employed at theFolts Home as a receptionist, dietary and resident aid from1994-1998. She was also a member of Alzheimer's Association. She began working for Herkimer County as a Social Worker on January 2, 2001. First, in the Alternatives to Independent Living Unit. She then transferred to the Children and Family Services unit as a foster care caseworker and was promoted to Senior Caseworker. Later, she accepted a position as supervisor to the Herkimer County PINS unit, helping troubled youth, giving them opportunity to stay in their homes. During this time she was on the Board of Directors for the School's Out DaycareProgram at Reformed Church in Herkimer. Her knowledge and qualifications provided great insight and direction to this program.
On May 28, 2005 she married Daniel A. Brown in the Oak Ridge Free Methodist Church a loving and blessed union of 19 years. This loving marriage brought three beautiful children into this world, Althea Dorothy Brown, Amelia Josephine Brown and Arlo Daniel Brown. As a devoted daughter, wife, and mother, her love for her family is immeasurable, and she will always be there for them! We cannot fail to mention the love she has for her "fur-babies" Auggie, Aiko, and Skitchy Brown.
Tiffany is a free spirit, a Hippie at Heart! She loves her music especially the Grateful Dead, The Doors, and Phish. Tiffany adores live concerts. She also enjoys being very physically active and it showed. As a member of the Utica Roadrunners sheaccumulated many metals from her participation in over twenty-five half marathons, nine Boilermakers, and countless 5ks. Her greatest running accomplishment was her completion of the 2018 New York City marathon.
Besides her husband Daniel, she is survived by two daughters; Althea Brown and Amelia Brown, a son Arlo Brown, her mother and father Josephine and James Busch, her uncle Ben Alabastro, all of Herkimer, Her Father-in-law Daniel Allen Brown, Her mother-in-law Edie Ann Brown, and sister-in-law Natalie Brown all of Arizona, her brother Brandon Crossway of Inwood, West Virginia, her sister Tracie and brother-in-law Michael Knapp of Piseco, New York , her brother-in-law Douglas Brown and sister-in-law Denise Brown both of Herkimer, andseveral, nieces, nephews and cousins including her special cousins Cheryl Gokey, and John, Brandy and Brandon Gokey.She is also survived by her very special friends; Justine Hutchinson, Sara DeRocco, Michele Fletcher, Becca Goldberg, Mary Palmieri, Robert & Melissa Scanlon, and their families.She also leaves her beloved pets; August LaFoote' Brown, Skitchy LaDuche' Brown, and Aiko LaFoote' Brown. She was pre-deceased by her sister Wendi Stahl and her husband Willard Stahl.
She is a friend to many and will never be forgotten.

Calling hours for Mrs. Brown will take place on Friday July 12thin the Oak Ridge Free Methodist
Church, 838 West German Street, Herkimer, from 3:00-6:00pm and her celebration of life will take place at 6:00pm with Pastor Chris Schumske, officiating.
In lieu of floral tributes Tiffany's family asks that donations be made to the Herkimer County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the church.
