HERKIMER-Timothy Wayne Riesel age 68 passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning October 8, 2019 at his home in Herkimer with the comfort and support of his loving family by his side. Tim was born on November 6, 1950 in Herkimer, son of the late Richard and Marjorie Upson Riesel. He was raised on Steuben Hill Road in Herkimer where he spent most of his time working on his grandparent's farm during his youth. He was a graduate of Herkimer High School Class of 1968. Tim was employed as a Campus Safety Officer at Herkimer County Community College for thirty years until his retirement in 2012. To those who knew him he was a kind, caring and respectful man. He was happiest when he was surrounded by his friends and family and will be sadly missed by all who loved and cherished him. Tim is survived by his loving and devoted companion, Debora Brunner and her son Wayne; his former spouse and mother of his children Norma Riesel; one son, Timothy Justin Riesel of Herkimer, three daughters, L'Annette Blum and her husband Mark of Ilion, Lisa Houle and her husband Paul of Apalachin, Leslie Stone of Canastota; his grandchildren, Shelby, Rebecca, Katie, Mark, Kristina, Kayla, Katie, Hannah and Jimmy and his great grandchildren, George and Benjamin; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Riesel. Calling hours for Mr. Riesel will take place on Saturday from 11:00am until 1:00pm in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer.
