Veronica J. Rocque

Veronica J. Rocque, 91, of Utica and formerly of South Trenton, passed away peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Masonic Care Community in Utica.

Born on October 31, 1934, in Little Falls, NY, Veronica was the daughter of the late Ralph and Veronica (Read) Callister. She was raised in Little Falls, where she graduated from high school. On July 30, 1960, she married Warren James Rocque in Utica. The couple shared 58 loving years together until Warren’s passing on December 14, 2018.

Veronica worked as a clerical secretary for the Defense Finance and Accounting Service at Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome, NY. In her free time, she cherished traveling with her beloved husband, playing card and board games, enjoying Bingo, and rooting passionately for the New York Mets.

She is survived by her children, Bonnie Rocque and her wife Rosemary Rees of Utica, and Dr. Warren J. Rocque, Jr. and his wife Pamela of Raleigh, NC; her granddaughters, Dr. Marquette Rocque and her husband Thomas Zeleskey of Richland, WA, and Jacquelyn Rocque and her fiancé Jake Holness of Baltimore, MD; and her very special niece, Diana Geno of Ilion, NY. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Warren Sr., and her brother Richard Callister.

In accordance with Veronica’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services. A private graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery on West German Street in Herkimer at the family’s convenience.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the Erie household staff at the Masonic Care Community for their kind and compassionate care they provided Veronica during her time there.
