Obituary

RICHFIELD SPRINGS-Walter Hubiak age 80 entered into eternalrest on Tuesday May 15, 2001 in the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, Ilion where hehad been a patient since May 11th. He was born on July 9, 1920 in Woodside, PA, son of the lateThomas and Katie Okomo Hubiak. He is survived by his wife Madalyn, two sons andtheir wives; Walter and Margie Hubiak, Ronald and Diane Hubiak, twograndchildren; Chad Hubiak, Michelle Hubiak Hoag, five great grandchildren;Elijah and Chayndell Hoke, Shailynne Hoag all of Richfield Springs, Michael andLori Hubiak along with their mother Antoinette Hubiak Eddy, two brothers andtheir wives John and Mildred Hubiak, Joseph and Rose Hubiak of VanHornesville.Several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson ShannonHubiak and three sisters; Helen Hunt, Mary Oeser and Anna Kuzemchak. Most of Walterss life was spent on the family farm on Chyle Road. Heretired in 1979, moving to the Edick Road, town of Springfield residence in1984. It was Walters request that there are no calling hours and that thefuneral be private. A graveside service in Lakeview Cemetery will take place ata later time covenient to the family. Memorial donations may be made to the Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care Inc., 524 Main Street, Oneonta, New York 13820. Funeral arrangements are with J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, Richfield Springs.
