JORDANVILLE - Walter Yaworski age 84 formerly of Aney Hill Road passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning January 22, 2013 in Folts Homes, Herkimer.
He was born on November 3, 1928 in Jordanville, son of the late John and Anna Brutz Yaworski. A lifelong area resident he was raised in Jordanville and was educated in VanHornesville Central School.
On October 20, 1951 he was united in marriage with the former Frances Hugick in Saint Josephs Church, Richfield Springs.They shared a loving and devoted union of forty-nine years until her passing on October 1, 2000.
Mr. Yaworski will always be remembered as an entrapenure.Besides owning and operating his dairy farm in Jordanville, he was a distributor for Purina Feeds, was a salesman for Belarus Tractors as well owning and operating the Dairy Lane Snack Bar on Route # 28 in the town of Columbia. He was also an inventor, he created and patented the Yaworski Stoker-Stick.He at one time had served as town councilman for the Town of Stark. In his leisure time he enjoyed Snowmobiling, Polka dancing with his wife Frances, welding, mechanics, skiing, and taking part in the tractor pull at the Herkimer County Fair. He was always ready to help a neighbor if they had problems with their farm machinery or automobile. He was a good friend to many people and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by four daughters and their husbands, Fran Dorantes and husband Alex of VanHornesville, Susan and husband Richard Jack of Mohawk, Ann Marie and husband Edward Healey of Port St. Lucie, FL, Linda and husband Michael Bambara of Herkimer, two sons, Walter Yaworski Jr., John Yaworski both of Richfield Springs, Tom Zashevski of Alphertta, GA who was like a son, three sisters, Kate Sadlon, Helen and her husband Steve Sadlon all of Ilion, Nancy and her husband Bernard Hugick of Mohawk, sixteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife Frances he was preceded in death by two brothers, Steven Yaworski and Michael Yaworski, four sisters,Joan Wilson Loiacano, Mary Valentine, Anne Ostasz and Olga Leduc Pavlot and a special nephew Larry Pabes.
Mr. Yaworski's family will be present in J.Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street; Richfield Springs to receive relatives and friends of Saturday from 1:00 until 3:00 pm.A funeral service will follow immediately after in the funeral home with the Reverend Wayne Clements, pastor of the VanHornesville United Methodist Church officiating.Interment will take place later this spring in Highland Rural Cemetery, Jordanville.
