SPRINGFIELD CENTER - Wayne A. Demorest, 42, of Texas Road, passed away Saturday afternoon, March 15, 2008, in Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown. He had the peace and comfort of his devoted family by his side. Wayne was born March 5, 1966, in Ilion, son of Charles and Janet Vickerson Demorest. A lifelong Springfield Center resident, he had a strong love for the outdoors and swimming. In his leisure time, he enjoyed listening to music. All who knew him will remember a caring and hopeful young man, who was happiest when he was with his many friends and family. He will be truly missed. Surviving besides his parents are a brother, Charles Demorest Jr. and his wife, Marianne, of Schuyler Lake; his sister, Carol Demorest of Springfield Center; two nieces, Brittany and Jessica Demorest; one nephew, Brandon Demorest, all of Schuyler Lake. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James St., Richfield Springs. The Rev. John Young will officiate. Interment will be later this spring in Springfield Center Cemetery at a time to be announced.
