MOHAWK-Wendy Elizabeth Richer age 37, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning July 21, 2016 in Albany Medical Center. She was born on August 22, 1978 in Ilion, daughter of Edward and Dale Moshier Richer. A lifelong area resident she was a graduate of Mohawk High School. Wendy will always be remembered as a pleasant girl and was happiest when she was surrounded by her many friends and family. She especially enjoyed going fishing and spending quality time with Cory, Ryan, Carly and Marcus who she cherished like her own. Surviving her are three sisters, Cynthia Richer and her wife Christine and Dawn Richer all of Herkimer, Heather Dover and her husband Michael of Yorkville, three brothers, James Richer and his companion Kaleena of Herkimer, David Richer of Morrisville, NC, Richard Phillips and his wife Tanya of Utica, Her step-mother Vicky Richer wife of Edward of Morrisville, step-father, Charles Steele companion of Dale of Mohawk, a step-sister Jennie Steele and her companion Josh of Amsterdam, many aunts and uncles, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours for Wendy will be on Monday from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 pm with Pastor Eugene Kipper officiating. Interment will take place immediately after in Oak Hill Cemetery.
