COOPERSTOWN William Stanley Reed age 50 of Walnut Street passed away peacefully at home on November 18, 2017. He had the comfort of his loving family by his side at the time of his passing. William was born July 25, 1967 in South Bridge, Massachusetts a son of the late Stanley William Reed and Lela Mae Buell Reed. He was raised and educated in Holland, Massachusetts and was a repair technician with American Homes. His greatest passion was being a father to his son. Along with his son Tristen, he was very active with Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He was also anAssistant Troop Leader with Troop 14 in Richfield Springs. Billy was one who enjoyed the outdoors and all that nature had to offer. He was one who was quick with his mind and great with problem solving. Truly a friend to many and he will never be forgotten. Besides his mother Lela, he is survived by his son Tristen William Reed of Cooperstown, three sisters Brenda Reed and her companion Alfred Zoeller of Cooperstown, Lori Ann Reed and her companion Michael Olinsky of Cooperstown and Sue Oleksy and her husband Louis of Brooklyn, Connecticut, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of life for William will be celebrated on Saturday December 2 , 2017 at 1:00 pm in The Old Stone Church, State Highway 28, Schuyler Lake, with Pastor Rick Kinney to officiate. The family will be present to receive relatives and friends from 12:00 until 1:00 pm in the church. Arrangements are with J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, Richfield Springs.
